The initial Nxtgen Care Pilot was so successful for Ridgewood Assisted Living, that signing a long-term agreement was an easy decision.

Ridgewood Assisted Living, a 55 resident seniors care facility located in Nova Scotia, Canada opened for business in 2008. After the initial few years, new owners took over the facility in 2012.

The new owners set out to enhance the overall quality of the resident experience by creating and implementing a Culture Document outlying their fundamental beliefs and practices in resident care. With this backdrop, Ridgewood became an early adopter by piloting Nxtgen Care to further improve their residents’ well-being and in doing so improve operational efficiencies.

Before long, the Nxtgen Care Platform was proving its value in spades, delivering a range of benefits for management, staff, residents and residents’ families.

  • 12% reduction in Overall Operating Expenses
  • Staff-to-Resident Response Times decrease 54%
  • 38% increase in Staff & Resident Engagements
  • Reduced incoming calls from Families by 63%

The initial pilot of Nxtgen Care proved to be a significant positive influence on our business. We used the platform to establish goals and measure performance against them.

The results exceeded all expectations as we saw tangible, double-digit percentage improvements in our key metrics. It really was a no-brainer to sign a longer-term agreement for the platform.
